14 Teams Compete At Westport (New Zealand Press Association) WESTPORT, July 17 Fourteen teams from every South Island district are taking part in the South Island Women’s Indoor basketball championships which opened in Westport this afternoon T ,he tournament is expected to conclude with a crowded session tomorrow. in which play will continue from 9 o’clock in the morning until 10 o’clock at night. Results, of this afternoon's matches were:— Otago B 51, Mid-Canterbury 19; Buller B 23. Canterbury B 19; Takaka 49, Motueka 16.
