Opportunities For N.Z. (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 24. New Zealand, given fair trading conditions, and as perhaps the lowest-cost producer of livestock products in the world, could expect to obtain a significant part of the additional world markets resulting from the higher levels of consumption, the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Skinner) today told the annual conference of the Royal Agriculture Society of New Zealand. He said there was little doubt the future would see substantial increases in world demand for New Zealand livestock products, and this country had little to fear that ample market opportunities would not be available. Future prospects, however, were clouded by the existence of a high degree of agricultural protectionism, he said.
