FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN pursuant to the provisions of the "Counties Act, 1956,” the "Health Act. 1956” and the "Rating Act 1925” that at the expiration ot fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice, it is the intention ot the Waimairi County Council to make and levy Separate Rates, Sanitation Fee and Rates on behalf of other Local Authorities as follows :

(a) Under the provisions of Section 115 of the "Counties Act. 1956,” a uniform annual fee of £2 12s in respect of each pan contained in closets and privies upon such properties in the County that have a house or houses erected thereon, and are liable for such fee. (b) Under the provisions of the "Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956" a Special Rate of ,0333 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on all rateable properties within a defined area of the Papanui Riding to provide for the Annual charges on the North Papanui Channelling Redemption Loan. (c) Under the provisions of Section 118 of the "Counties Act, 1956." Water Rates as follows : » 1. Upon all land and buildings in the County to which water is supplied (a) where the annual rateable value

does not exceed £l2 10s. a rate of one pound (£1): (b) • where the annual rateable value exceeds £l2 10s. a rate of two pounds two shillings and six pence (£2 2s 6d) per centum on such value, provided that in no case shall the rate for any ordinary supply be less than one pound (£1) per annum. 2. Upon all lands and buildings in (he County to which waler can be, but is not supplied, situated within 100 yards of any part of the waterworks, a rate of one one pound one shilling and threepence (£1 Is 3d) per centum on the annual rateable value as described in (1) supra. 3. Under the provisions of Section 121 of the “Counties Act. 1956” where a property becomes liable to a water rate after April 1, 1959, a proportionate charge for the balance of the year based on the above rates.
