The Indian cricketers, with five second innings wickets In hand, were 239 runs ahead of Minor Counties* first innings total of 228 on the second day of the three-day match at Burton-on-Trent today. The Indians, who made 287 in their first innings, were 180 for five at stumps today.

The early part of the day was dominated by J. T. Ikin. the former Lancashire and England left-hand batsman, who showed all his old grace and power in scoring 118. Once more the Indian fielding left everything to be desired.
