Pedestrians’ Behaviour

Sir, — I agree with most of your correspondents’ statements regarding traffic control and motorists’ behaviour. I wish to poiht out that my original letter concernedpedestrians’ behaviour in the main, plus a sentence of cyclists It appears that these three correspondents do not agree with the Minister of Transport nor the sub-leader in “The Press.” “Ham” disagrees without offering any evidence to disprove my .remarks.. Instead he roars off on a tangent regarding motorists, which I am not discussing. If I was to comment adversely on the Transport Board’s deficit I would not expect a critic to reply by saying “Goodness me its infinitisimal by comparison with the railways’ annual loss.”—Yours, etc., RATEPAYER.
