NASRULLAH DEAD

Famed Sire In U.S. (N.Z Press Association—Copyngnt PARIS (Kentucky), May 26. Nasrullah, sire of some of the world’s finest thoroughbred racehorses, died today of a ruptured heart muscle at Claiborne Farm. The imported stallion, from the stables of the late Aga Khan, was 19 years old. He was the sire of such racing greats as the former United States leading money-winner, Nasuha, and Bold Ruler, which was American “Horse of the Year” as a three-year-old. Nasrullah was brought to the United States by a 20-man syndicate in 1950. The syndicate paid 372,000 dollars for the stallion, which already had built up a European reputation as a sire. The best-known of the stallion’s European colts were Noor and Never Say Die. Never Say Die won the English Derby.

Nasrullah was leading sire in the amount of money won by his offspring in 1955 and 1956. He was second last year.
