SOUTH ISLAND DEVELOPMENT
M.P.’s To Attend Conference
(New Zeatana Press Association) DUNEDIN, May 27. Nineteen of the 26 South Island members of Parliament who were asked to attend a conference of South Island chambers of commerce to discuss methods of attracting industry to the South Island had advised they would be present, said Mr T. Adams, secretary of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce today.
Mr Adams added that some M.P’s had yet to reply and he was hopeful that all would attend Among those who accepted was the deputy > prime minister (Mr Skinner)
The conference is to be held in Christchurch on June 4.
