20 MONTHS ABROAD

(New Zeaiana Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 17. By the end of the Australian tour with the New Zealand Rugby League team, the vicecaptain. G. Menzies (West Coast), will have spent 20 months playing tootball abroad on Kiwi tours. An estimate of the travel involved is 175,000 miles. Menzies, still a quick and proficient five-eighths, first played for New Zealand in 1051, and since then has been 11 times in overseas or home test series. He missed playing against the 1953 Australian side when he was injured. This will be his seventh trip overseas, and only if the renowned Australian full-back, C. Churchill, is chosen for the English tour will another player have set a higher record.
