Ben Ledi Will Not Start
"The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL, May 15. Ben Ledi, one of the early favourites for the Clifden Handicap, the open sprint at the Southland Racing Club's meeting tomorrow, will miss his engagement. The Callander gelding cut a leg when schooling at Wingatui on Thursday and the injury required several stitches. His stablemate. Depend (Novice Stakes) is another member of H. A. Anderton’s team which will not make the trip south.
