Facial Eczema Expert (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 15. Mr J. C. Percival, the .scientist whose discoveries led to the identification of the fungus causing facial eczema, has declined the offer of a highly-paid position as lecturer in animal husbandry at Sydney University The offer was made to Mr Percival more than six months ago and. for some time, it was likely that he would accept He reached his decision to stay in New Zealand only recently. The loss of Mr Percival, a valuable member of the eczema research team at Ruakura animal research station, would have been serious as he is now doing vital follow-up work’ in an effort to find a means of preventing the disease.
