EFFORT TO SAVE CHILD FAILS
Two-Year-Old Girl Dies In Melbourne (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 14. A desperate four-day fight to save a two-year-old child ended in failure early today when Janette Walsh died in Footscray Hospital, Melbourne. The battle to bring Janette back to life for the second time since she grabbed the filament of an electric radiator ended shortly after 1 a.m. Although doctors massaged her heart into action again 15 minutes after she was electrocuted on Monday, Janette did not regain consciousness before she died. Doctors had packed cellophane bags of ice round her to keep her temperature down, and ease the strain on her faintly-beating heart.
