DRAW FOR INDIANS
Leicestershire Match (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 12. The task of scoring 219 runs in 130 minutes proved beyond the Indian cricketers at Leicester today, where their match against Leicestershire ended in a draw. Falling well behind the clock, the tourists did not bother to claim the extra half-hour, and ended their bid still 125 runs short. The Indians were dismissed for 246 today—ss less than the county’s first innings score of eight for 301 declared. Leicestershire, spearheaded by a great 85 in two hours by their captain, Willie Watson, made 163 for four wickets before declaring their second innings closed. The target set for the tourists was a difficult one, and they never looked like reaching it. At the close they were 94 for two Scores:— LEICESTERSHIRE
