Petition To Preserve Forests
(New Zealand Press Association) WHAKATANE, May 12. A petition for the preservation of New Zealand indigenous forests has been meeting with good response throughout the country, according to the petition organiser. Miss V. A. Rucroft, of Whakatane. She said that signatures were mounting rapidly. Where individual campaigns had been conducted the petition was welcomed as an opportunity to unite efforts.
