MELBOURNE Investment shares on the Melbourne Stock Exchange remained firm yesterday. H. C. Sleigh notes and the options both rose Is 6d. Base metals remained firm. Santos, on the rumour of oil, rose to 36s 6d, and finished the day at 335. Commonwealth Bonds closed the week on a firm tone.
