I.C.I. Prize Presented To Chemist
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 8.
The 1958 Imperial Chemical Industries’ Prize was presented to Mr J. K. Johannesson at the May meeting of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry by the branch president (Mr J: R. Beck). Mr Johannesson, chief chemist of the Wellington City Council laboratory, won the award for his work on the chemistry and treatment of water supplies. A medal and a cheque, the prize is award-
ed to the member of the institute who has made the greatest contribution to the science of chemistry in the preceding five years.
