Record Business Last Year (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May B. New estates and funds worth more than £lsm were placed in the hands of the Public Trust Office for administration last year, the Minister in charge of the Office (Mr Anderton) said today. Announcing new business figures for the year ended March 31, Mr Anderton said there was an increase of nearly £500,000 over the record figures for the previous financial year. Last year the Public Trust Office took over the administration of 4439 new estates and fundi of an aggregate value of £15,000,287. Mr Anderton said there was also a large number of new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor. In the year ended March 31. 10.382 new wills were lodged, bringing the total held by the Public Trust Office to 183,972. Ip addition 6757 existing wills were redrafted.
