AUSTRALIAN WOOL EXPORTS
Czechoslovakia May Buy More (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) CANBERRA, May 7. The head of the Czechoslovakian Wool Buying Authority w’ill visit Australia this year to discuss increased wool purchases, the Acting Prime Minister, Mr John McEwen, said in the House of Representatives today. Mr McEwen said a recent trade mission to Poland and Czechoslovakia had resulted in some increased sales of Australian goods. Poland and Czechoslovakia were both quite important buyers of Australian wool and could beIcome “not insignificant” purchasers of Australian foodstuffs. Mr McEwen was answering a questioner who asked whether the mission had resulted in increased sales. Henry Jones.—lnterim dividend is 6d a stock unit (unchanged), payable on June 1, ex May 20.—(P.A.)
