BOY DROWNED IN FLOODED STREAM
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 7.
A boy, aged 10, was drowned in a swollen stream at the back of his home about midday today. He was:
Carl Victor Poad, son of Mrs Poad, of Rawhiti place, Stokes Valley.
Police believe the boy was standing on the bank of the stream when it caved in. His body was found located two hours later about half a mile downstream.
