Gay Lodge will make an attempt to win bls second Egmont Cup on Saturday, but he will have strong opposition from a large field which includes the Stratford Cup winner, Golden Warrior, the Ashhurst Cup winner, Gay Jinx, and the smart mare, Mindanao. The cup will be the first leg of the double. Waitaha is chosen to win the Flying Handicap* the second leg, though there will be support for Monogram, Earl Robin, Lennox Boy. and Seartum.
