TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANKS IN U.K.
Plans For Cheque System (NJZ. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, February 18. Britain’s trustee savings banks catering for 3m “cloth-cap savers” who now have over £ 1,313 m sterling to their credit, may introduce a cheque system. The honorary treasurer of the Trustee Savings Bank Association (Mr R. Foster) said today that the trustee savings banks, with 1335 offices throughout the country. regarded the joint stock banks’ new personal loans and personal cheques service as a challenge.
