Pasternak Shuns Publicity
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) MOSCOW, February 16. Russian novelist and poet, Boris Pasternak, has decided to shun publicity, to dedicate himself to his work and to seek his reinstatement in the Soviet Writers’ Union.
For the last few days he has refused to see reporters. Previously he virtuallyj kept “open house”. at his home at Peredelkino, 15 miles. from. ’ Moscow. Mr . Pasternak told the British United.- Press in ;aWritten statement that ■he would in future devote ' himself mostly to the translation of foreign elastics.
