Prison Property Increased
Two areas of Crown land, totalling 150 acres, have been added to the Paparua Prison property, according to a proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette. The property was held on lease for a number of years but the lessee has sold his leasehold interest in the property back to the Crown for health reasons. It adjoins the present prison area, which will now have a regular boundary with the Main West Coast road.
