BAND DISPLAY AT WAIKUKU
Two Christchurch brass bands —Woolston and Derrys—which will compete in the national championships at Wellington next week-end gave a combined display at the Waikuku Domain yesterday afternoon. A large crowd watched the two bands, and the. City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band, which gave a drum major display. The programme ended with the two brass bands combining for the playing of “Around : the World in 80 Days” and “Sousa on Parade."
