Gaol Sentence.—A school bus driver was sentenced to .18 months’ imprisonment for unlawful carnal knowledge by Mr H. Jenner Wiley, S.M., in the Taumarunui Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He is Frank Hector Amundsen, aged 64, married, of Ohura, who denied the charge. The Magistrate said that as parents had to trust their children to a school bus driver, he felt convinced that he .had to treat the case as very serious.—(P.A.)
