New Season’s Lamb Eases

New season’s Canterbury lamb was easier in first quality grades on the Smithfield market last weeK according to the latest advice Received from the Imported Meat Trade Association. In second grade under 281 b new season’s lamb: the price eased fractionally, whiter 29-361 b was quoted at the same price as the previous week. Old season’s Canterbury lamb showed little change. There was no variation at 43-501 b, quoted at 18fd; bu.t 37-421 b firmed by Id to sell at 21|d. First quality frozen ox binds at 145-1601 b and fores at 145-2101 b also firmed by Id on quotation. Second quality frozen beef was again not quoted. Prices for New Zealand meat (ex hooks.
