Uncertainty Over Date (New Zealana Press Assoctattoii) WELLINGTON, January 21. Precision approach radar equipment is at present being installed at Rongotai Airport. This equipment will bring the airportexpected to be completed soon—up to the latest standards. The installation may take up to three weks. Tests, supervised by the Civil Aviation Department, will be held in February. The airport was originally to have been opened on April 1. However, the Wellington City Council said it might not be in operation till much later—July or so. i No specific date has been given. City Council authorities have referred to July or August as the operational opening date. It is known that the National Airways Corporation, the principal operators, stand to lose many thousands of pounds by such a delay.
