SAFE BLOWN AT KAIAPOI

Safeblowers took £42 from a safe in Kaiapoi on Tuesday night. Using bolts of material to deaden the explosion they blew open the safe of Blackwells, Ltd., Kaiapoi. Entry was gained by forcing a window. Of the money stolen £6 was in notes and the remainder was in copper and silver.
