N.Z. DAVIS CUP ENTRY
Otway, Gerrard Chosen
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 14. The management committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association has decided to enter New Zealand in the European zone Davis Cup competition.
The team will be M. A. Otway and L. A. Gerrard. The committee will later consider sending a third member.
Entries for the competition will close tomorrow. The draw will be made within 10 days, and the association will be informed whether its entry has been accepted. If the entry is accepted, the United States Lawn Tennis Association, as holders, will inform New Zealand of the name of the country it must play in the first round, and the date by which the round must be completed.
