CONFERENCE ON TRAVEL
Delegates From Dominion
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 12. Eighteen delegates from New Zealand are expected to attend the eighth annual conference of the Pacific Area Travel Association which will be held at Singapore from January 26 to 30. Representatives of some 20 countries bordering the Pacific will be present at the conference to discuss travel research and survey, advertising, hotels, formalities of entry and other matters pertaining to tourist travel. The New Zealand delegates will include Mr R. W. Marshall, general manager of the Tourist and Publicity Department; Sir Leonard Isitt, chairman of Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd.; Mr R. E. Cadness, general passenger manager, Union Steam Ship Company; Mr N. E. Lobb, chief executive, and Mr and Mrs R. S. Clark, New Zealand Travel and Holidays Association; Mr H. Coxhead, managing director, New Zealand Travel Service, and Mrs Coxhead; Mr D. Coxhead, New Zealand Travel Service; Mr N. S. Coxhead, managing director, Group Travel New Zealand, Ltd.; Mr H. Denton, chief sales officer, T.E.A.L.; Mr A. Feslier and Mr H. Yates. National Airways Corporation; Mrs I. A. N. Felton, New Zealand Trave] Service; Mr R. S Wells, a director of Russell and Somers, Ltd., Auckland; Mr H. R. Wigley, managing director. Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Company, and Mrs Wigley; Mr and Mrs J. Aubrey, M°unt Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Company; Mr F. Drewitt, National Council, New Zealand Hotel Industry; and Mr T, Flint, South Island Publicity Association.
The nintk annual conference of the Pacific Area Travel Association will be held at Christchurch in February, 1960.
