INQUIRIES AT ADDINGTON
After the running of the Lyttelton Handicap at Addington yesterday, an inquiry was held into the performance of Robertwood. It was decided to declare Robertwood ineligible to start at totalisator meetings until February 1, 1959, inclusive.
Before the C. S. Howell Handicap, Guard’s Brigade was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeons at the request ot the stipendiary stewards. It was found that the horse was lame and the connexions of the horse were ordered to scratch him.
After the Templeton Handicap. D. C. Watts was questioned about the finishing effort of R'ince. Watts’s explanation that Prince had dropped the bit at the top of the straight was accepted.
