GOOD WIN FOR OTAGO
Northern Beaten By 9 Wickets (New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, January 1. Otago beat Northern Districts by nine wickets in a Plunket shield match which ended in Hamilton yesterday. Otago scored 373 for seven declared. Northern Districts in their first innings made 149 and in their second innings 264. The 41 runs required by Otago for an outright victory were secured for the loss of one wicket, with about three hours to spare.
