Holiday Play
A daily supervised' playground scheme for all school age children of the Naenae district will be conducted by the physical education branch of the Education Department on the Naenae intermediate school and Naena College playgrounds from January 12 to 30. The grounds will be open from 9.30 a.m. till 11.30 a.m. and from 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday. “This will be the first scheme of its kind to be held,’’ said the Minister of Education (Mr Skoglund) yesterday. “It is likely to be the forerunner of a much more comprehensive approach to recreation guidance for school children after school hours.”—(P.A.)
