(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, December 11. A union official claimed today that stable boys registered with the Australian Jockey Club.were being exploited. The assistant secretary of the Miscellaneous Workers’ Union, Mr G. Ford, will ask his executive to negotiate an award, or an agreement, to provide adequate wages for the boys. He said today the boys were not entitled to the basic wage or penalty rates for overtime, but they worked unlimited hours, fot “a pittance.” * • . Many of the boys slept above or in the stables.
