Watchman Gaoled For Theft
(New Zealand Prase Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 10. “When a nightwatchman descends to theft he can expect only one thing." said Mr J. R. Drummond, S.M., in the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court. William John Henry Perry, aged 45, a workman, who appeared for sentence on three charges of theft Involving tools to a total value of £23, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on each 'charge, to be followed by 12 nionths’ probation.
