Girl Drowned In Flooded Creek

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 10. A four-year-old girl was drowned this afternoon while bathing in a flooded creek near her home at Pakahue, 10 miles from Kaitaia. She was: Fanny King, a daughter of Mr and Mrs Tony King. She was bathing with other children and was swept away in the fast-flowing stream. Her body was recovered by her father within a few minutes. Artificial respiration was administered for an hour.
