Water Short In Invercargill
(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 10. Invercargill is again short of water. A mishap in one of the wells has put a pump out of action and it seems that, until the Branxbolme scheme is brought in, consumption will have to be reduced considerably to avoid pressures being cut. The new water supply is expected to be tapped within a few weeks. In the meantime, a 10 per cent, cut in consumption IS again necessary.
