Black Currants
A small quantity of black curTants grown in the Harewood area was received at the Christchurch produce markets yesterday. They sold for Is 6d a punnet at the market and retailed at 2s Bd. Pinapples from Tonga were on sale in the shops yesterday at 5s each. They arrived in the Matua which berthed at Lyttelton on Tuesday and discharged 28.000 cases of bananas for the South Island.
