U.S. INTEREST IN SIR BUNK
Rejection Of Further Bid (New Zealand Preet Association) MELBOURNE, Dec. 10. The owners of the Caulfield Cup and Victoria Derby winner. Sir Blink, Mrs W. Kellett, and her brother, Mr C. R. Finch, have rejected another bid to lease the champion three-year-old for racing in America. But the inquirer was told that Sir Blink could be bought at the owners* price. It was the second inquiry made in the last month for a lease Of the eolt. Mrs Kellett said last evening that Sir Blink was doing well during his spell. “He appeared to have grown too,” she said. No programme has been planned yet for Sir Blink next autumn, but races in view for him in Melbourne include the weight-for-age Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Flemington, early in March. Special Permit For Hawke’s Bay (New Zealand Press Association) HASTINGS, December 10. The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club has been granted April 24, the day before Anzac Day, for a special race meeting in conjunction with the Hawke’s Bay province’s Centennial celebrations. The race meeting will be held at Hastings on behalf of all clubs in the Hawke’s Bay racing district.
