RECONCILIATION WITH F.O.L.
Auckland Union Wants To Rejoin (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 10. The Auckland General Labourers* Union, which helped lead a sensational walk-out from the Federation of Labour in 1950, is now considering rejoining the federation. Because the union did not withdraw in the correct manner, the federation is claiming affiliation fee arrears totalling more than £lOOO. The union wants the federation to waive these dues and begin with “the slate clean,” and it has decided to open negotiations.
