Dinner Function For Chemists

About 90 chemists, their wives and friends, attended a party held recently by the Canterbury branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, at the Gold Room. They were received by the president of the branch (Mr H. C. B. Moore) and Mrs Moore. Cocktails were served on the terrace and in the grounds, aftei which guests attended a buffet dinner. The rooms were decorated with bowls of Christmas lilies, roses and delphiniums. Specially invited guests Included the following:—Dr. W. J. Edgington, president of the Canterbury branch of the 8.M.A., and Mrs Edgington; Dr. A. Douglas, Medical Officer of Health, and Mrs Douglas; Mr J. A. S. Marais, deputy-registrar of the Pharmacy Board, and Mrs Marris. Mrs Moore wore a mid-grey satin sheath frock patterned in a roie design bf gold and green.
