Sand In Waler Supply
Sir.— What is the cause ol so; much sand coming through our? water taps? Sometimes it is nn--possible to wash vegetables. After! running the bath water the sand lies thick on the bottom of the bath. Would this be detrimental to our health? In a block of 12 new houses only four are affected. This has been going on for a long time and no-one. seems to know the reason.—Yours. I etc.. WONDERING. Kaiapoi, November 12. 1958. [The Mayor of Kaiapoi fMr C.| T. Williams) said he presumed' that a State housing block was concerned. If so, the water supply i was purchased by the council >j from the Government some years; ago. He suggested that the writer ‘ get in touch with the borough • council officers. 1 :
