November '8 A month after being arrested —and having his name linked with an alleged leakage of rocket secrets to the Soviet Union—a young Royal Air Force man still had not been brought to trial, the “News Chronicle” said today Senior Aircraftsman Michael Julian Brown, aged 21. was still being detained at West Drayton near London. The newspaper said that he was flown to Britain from the rocket research unit in South Australia and charged with acts prejudicial to military discipline The Air Ministry said yesterday; “We have no further news about Brown. He is being held pending investigation's—we do not know what they are about.” The “News Chronicle’’ said that after Brown returned to England he was questioned about a leakage of Woomera range secrets.
