Fittings For Side Streets
The release of many usable fittings from the old Riccarton road lighting system will enable the lighting standard of several subsidiary streets to be improved by adding additional lights and respacing.
It is expected that this work will be begun early in the new year.
At the request of the Riccarton Businessmen’s Association the borough council is installing an under-veranda lighting scheme in the shopping area, and it is expected that this scheme will be completed before Christmas.
