Situation: A ridge of high pressure extends across New Zealand from an anti-cyclone centred to the east of the country. A depression is advancing on to Tasmania from the west. Forecast:— West Coast: Light to moderate winds from a northerly quarter; weather cloudy and mild, and a few scattered showers. Outlook: a few scattered showers. Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Light or moderate winds from a northerly quarter; weather fair, with warm inland temperatures. Outlook: fair.
