Sir,—My brother died and left me a bouse valued at £5OO. What death duty do I pay on that?— Yours, etc., INQUIRER. September 17. 1958. [The District Commissioner of Stamp Duties (Mr M. K. Boon).: in reply to the letter of “Inquirer," said that the amount of death duty payable would depend on the value of the estate as a whole, and if the Inquirer could supply this Information, the department would be glad to furnish the required .Information.]
