TRADES’ COUNCIL ELECTION
Opponent For Mr F. P. Walsh (New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. The president of the Wellington Trades’ Council for the last 20 years, Mr F. P. Walsh, who is also president of the Federation of Labour, will be opposed next month at the annual election of the council. His opponent will be Mr H. J. Allen, secretary of the New Zealand Workers* Union. Mr Allen is chairman of the Labour Representation Committee and a member of the national executive of the Labour Party.
