BLENHEIM BARMAN SENTENCED
Indecent Assault On Child (New Zealand -Press Association) BLENHEIM, Sept. 24. “It is the very worst case oi its type I have ever had<to deal with or have read about,” said Mr H. J: Thompson, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today in sentencing Harold Sydney Sampson, aged 49, barman, of Blenheim, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent assault on a female aged seven years and four months at Picton on September 3. to the maximum sentence of three years’ imprisonment. The Magistrate commented that the maximum was “well earned in this case.” y
