Australian Hooker Breaks Leg

(N?w Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, September 24. John Tuckey, hooker for the Australian junior Rugby club team. Petersham-Sutherland, was injured when he tackled an opponent in match against Pirates at Dunedin today and was carried off the field on a stretcher. He was taken to the Dunedin Public Hospital suffering from a fracture of the right leg. above the knee.

The match, played in very cold weather, was won by Pirates. 11-8. The home forwards dominated the battle for possession. Pirates scored three tries, one of which was converted, to a converted try and a goal from a penalty.
