DISPLAY OF NAVY AIRCRAFT

Wigram On Sunday
Aircraft of the United States Navy that will be flying to Antarctica next week will be open for inspection by the public on Sunday afternoon. As well as the aircraft there will be a display of cold-weather clothing, survival gear and medical equipment.
The disnlay will be put on by the VX6 Squadron, United States Navy, at the R.N.Z.A.F. station. Wigram. suitable ramps can be obtained, crowds will be able to go through the aircraft with the exception of the Neptunes, which are not built to handle crowds passing through. The display will be controlled by the commanding officer of the squadron (Captain R. J. Slagle) and Rear-Admiral George J. Dufek may attend. On display there will be the Super Constellation, the Skymaster, two Dakotas and three Neptunes
Cars may enter at Wigram through the main gates and Navy traffic directors will guide them to parking spaces near the display. In the event of rain the display will be cancelled and announcements will be made over the local broadcasting stations. . -A
