£8000 Offer For Gentry Refused
An offer of £BOOO for the five-year-old pacer, Gentry, has been refused by the horse s owner, Mr H. S. Barry. The offer was made by an Auckland firm on behalf of an Australian client.
Gentry, the winner of £7520 In stakes last season, started a fresh campaign successfully in the Takanini Handicap at Auckland last Saturday. He will contest the Patatoetoe Handicap on the last day of the fixture this week and will then be P re " pared for the New Zealand Trotting Cup in November.
